Daniel & Alicia’s Rockwood Manor Park Proposal

August 29, 2026 — Potomac, MD

Some of the best days behind the camera aren’t weddings at all — they’re the moment right before one gets planned. That’s what brought Monica and me out to Rockwood Manor Park in Potomac on a warm end-of-summer afternoon: Daniel had a ring, a plan, and one shot to get it right.

Why Rockwood Manor

Daniel found his way to us back in 2020, in the middle of Covid, through the BNI Power Partners networking group, and when it came time to pick a spot for the moment, he chose well. Rockwood Manor’s quiet, tree-lined paths and soft afternoon light do a lot of the work for a photographer before a single frame is taken — no crowds, no noise, just green space and good light.

One Knee, No Do-Overs

Candlelight, white roses, and Alicia walking in with no idea what was waiting for her. Daniel got down on one knee, and for the next few minutes it was happy tears, laughter, and family standing close by trying not to cry along with them. Monica and I split up to cover it from both angles, so nothing — his face, her reaction, the ring, the hug after — got missed.

A Team Effort

This one was a two-photographer job by design, and it’s exactly the kind of coverage I like recommending for a proposal you only get to run once. Congratulations again, Daniel and Alicia — we can’t wait for the wedding.
